Adobe Acrobat did what?!

It's the end of times! No-- just the end of support for Adobe Acrobat XI and Adobe Reader XI. That means no product or security updates--that's big during the current atmosphere.

Adobe announced the big news in their Adobe Support Lifecycle Policy. So what does this mean for you Adobe Acrobat XI users? You have until October 15th to update to Acrobat DC. Acrobat DC promises to be better than Adobe Acrobat XI and provide better protection of your data and against security risks while quietly installing updates automatically. The new upgrade has user interface changes, and gives the user a choice on how it looks! Acrobat DC is taking the features we loved about Adobe Acrobat XI like a better PDF editing experience and exporting PDF files to PowerPoint by making them better. A few features Acrobat DC offers are:

  • Walkthroughs for new users

  • Turn scanned paper documents into instantly editable PDFs

  • A spell checker to identify and fix typos in your PDF

  • Fix suspected text recognition errors in scans with a side-by-side view

  • Open multiple PDFs in a single window

  • Use the mobile app from your phone or web browser

You must act fast! The deadline is approaching! Call Streamline Networks to help upgrade you to Acrobat DC and avoid the dreaded end to product and security updates!
